My name is Mireia Vilaplana and I am a Barcelona born, self-taught photographer living in Dubai. I am a Click Pro Master and a Lensbaby Ambassador. I am also a proud winner of the National Award for Sony World Photography Awards 2021 and a finalist of the prestigious Sony Alpha Female Award 2021.

I have more recently received an Honorable Mention for the 22nd Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers 2023 with an exhibition in Fotonostrum Barcelona at the end of 2024.

I specialise in black and white conceptual photography and creative portraiture.

I work with natural light and I like to use creative lenses to enhance the mood and story of my images.

Through mundane, everyday moments, my goal is to incite and push the viewers on an exploratory journey of their own emotions.
