We Are Nature

2019-Present

Children are born with a natural sense of relatedness to nature. They believe to be part of nature. Connected to nature.

But as the years go by and the child grows older, something changes. The child’s instinctive feelings with nature diminish and becomes more and more disconnected from the natural world.

The once well balanced relationship, becomes a one-sided idea where nature turns into something to be controlled and dominated, rather than loved, protected and preserved.

The empathy with the natural world vanishes.

The intimate and genuine contact with nature fades away.

This ongoing photographic series aims to honour this extraordinary phase in the cycle of human life, and through its purity and authenticity, inspire the coming generations to carry on this love for the world around us into their adult lives and beyond.

After all, we are all nature.
